Focusing On Mind-Body Fitness
Experts know that the best way to lose weight and to stay fit is to take a mind-body approach to fitness. We have so much stress in our daily lives, and it’s been proven that stress contributes to illness and weight gain. By managing the stress and focusing on mental health, we eliminate that factor from the weight gain equation. By managing our physical health through diet and exercise we can eliminate the physical factors of weight gain and by combining the two into a mind-body approach to fitness we can stay fit and eliminate weight gain. The mental approach to exercise is just as important as the physical part. Making fun exercise a daily part of our lives can be challenging, but is necessary in order to stay fit. One of the reasons that Yoga and Pilates have become so popular is that they both take a mind-body approach to fitness where centering the mind and being mindful of the exercise is just as important as the exercises themselves. The period of aerobics mania that was the 1980’s approach to fitness is gone for good, and people today want to keep mentally and physically fit. Having a mind-body approach to fitness is the best way to do that, and to stay fit for life.
